  I stopped in at my local Ace Hardware today for the first time. I was in need of a paint match, and outdoor timers for Christmas lights. The gentleman in paint was super helpful and friendly. He took the time to understand my needs, and helped me get the right paint, sheen and color to match what I have. While I was waiting on my custom paint, a woman assisted me in finding the 6 outlet outdoor light timers. She thought they were all gone after the holiday season, but after some research she found them. While she was looking, another gentleman asked if I needed assistance. It was so nice to have people ready and willing to help, which is something you don't always find at the large hardware stores. Upon checking out, I noticed they had a Christmas Vacation inflatable outdoor decoration that was 50% off. It looked like the display was the last one, but the same woman who helped me locate the timers found one in it's box. I failed to get her name, and the gentleman's name in paint, but both provided absolutely STELLAR customer service. Whenever I visit these small hardware shops, I'm reminded that I need to visit them for all my home repair needs. I will most definitely be back!
